Introduction

Nursing refers to the provision and practice of care to enable people to improve, maintain or recover health, to cope with health problems and to achieve the best possible quality of life. Nursing works with the purpose to promote health and healing; and to prevent diseases. When death is inevitable, the purpose of nursing is to maintain the best possible quality of life until its end.

Clinical Journal of Nursing Care and Practice publishes diligently peer-reviewed manuscripts augmenting clinical competency in the majestic occupation of nursing. Clinical Journal of Nursing Care and Practice disseminates research finding, opinions and innovative concepts that intensify the expertise and experience in nursing care and practice.

Reasons for Publishing

An aging population creates demand for more health care services. More people of all ages are living with chronic diseases, with nearly half of population affected by diabetes, hypertension, arthritis, cardiovascular disease, and mental health conditions. Addressing these challenges requires a transformation of the nursing workforce. Nurses need to assume enhanced and re-conceptualized roles in health coaching, chronic disease management, transitional care, prevention activities and quality improvement.

Hence, Clinical Journal of Nursing Care and Practice initiated publishing manuscripts to enhance adequacy, performance and quality of nursing workforce. Clinical Journal of Nursing Care and Practice also seeks to highlight the legendary role of nurses and their perspectives in representing hospital leadership and in decision-making.
